USA: Biden heads to West Bank, with little to offer Palestinians

BETHLEHEM, West Bank (AP) — Without a clear path for jumpstarting peace talks between the Israelis and Palestinians, President Joe Biden offered American money as a balm while visiting a local hospital on Friday.

13 July 2022; MEMO: Commenting on the revelation that Israel burnt alive Egyptian soldiers in 1967, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas said yesterday that "this crime discloses the extent of Israel's terrorism."

In a statement, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem said: "The disclosure of the Israeli crime of burning tens of Egyptian soldiers alive during the 1967 aggression discloses the extent of Israel's terrorism and sadism which dominate Israel's behaviour in all of its wars."

UN's Guterres 'shocked by killing, injuring of Palestinian children by Israel'

USA: Biden's visit won't make breakthrough in resolving Palestinian-Israeli conflict: analysts

RAMALLAH, July 11 (Xinhua) -- The upcoming visit of U.S. President Joe Biden to Israel and the Palestinian territories won't make any "serious breakthrough" in resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Palestinian analysts said.

The Biden administration is not serious about finding political solutions to the Palestinian cause and tries to focus on improving the economic conditions of the Palestinians while maintaining Israel's grip over Palestinian security, they said.

UAE pledges $25 million to East Jerusalem hospital

10 July 2022; MEMO: The UAE's President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan has pledged $25 million in support of the Al-Makassed Hospital in Palestine's occupied East Jerusalem to expand its medical supplies services.

According to the Gulf Times, the pledge comes as part of the Gulf state's "ongoing efforts to support Palestinian healthcare institutions, and to meet the needs of the Palestinian people."

09 July 2022; MEMO: The family of slain Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh has accused the United States of providing impunity for Israel over her killing and asked to meet President Joe Biden in person during his trip to Israel next week, reports Reuters.

Palestinian President Met With Israeli Defence Minister

RAMALLAH, Jul 8 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, yesterday met with Israeli Minister of Defence, Benny Gantz, in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

During the meeting, at the presidential headquarters, Gantz extended congratulations to Abbas and the Palestinian people, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

Abbas explained to Gantz the importance of creating a political horizon and respecting the peace agreements signed between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organisation.
