EU warns of 'worst Palestinian displacement in decades'

08 July 2022; MEMO: The European Union yesterday warned of the "possible" displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank as Israel continues to force residents out of Masafer Yatta following a court ruling.

Touring Masafer Yatta in the occupied West Bank, EU Ambassador to the occupied Palestinian territories, Sven Kuehn von Burgsdorff, warned: "If mass evictions and forcible transfer were to be the case, that would be the biggest forcible transfer for decades." He added that he was "concerned about the situation."

Zionist lobbies succeeded in pushing states to stop funding UNRWA: Right group

04 July 2022; MEMO: Director of Authority 302 for Defense of Refugee Rights, Ali Huwaidi, said yesterday that Zionist lobbying had succeeded in pushing many countries to stop contributing to the UN Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

Speaking to Quds Press, Huwaidi said: "UNRWA's crisis has never been financial, but completely political," stressing that the Zionist lobby and the American administrations "have been targeting the issue of Palestine refugees and the right to return."

Bullet killing Al Jazeera journalist handed to U.S. for examination: Palestinian official

RAMALLAH, July 3 (Xinhua) -- A senior Palestinian official said Saturday that the bullet which killed veteran Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in May had been handed to a U.S. team for examination.

The bullet won't be handed to the Israeli authorities and the competent Palestinian authorities have agreed to hand it to the United States, Palestinian Attorney-General Akram Al-Khatib told the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.

Hamas Welcomed UN Report That Called For Lifting Of Israeli Siege On Gaza

GAZA, Jul 2 (NNN-WAFA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), yesterday, welcomed a UN report, that called for the immediate ending of the siege, that Israel has been imposing on the Gaza Strip since 2007.

On Thursday, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), said in a report that, the situation in the Gaza Strip “is catastrophic,” due to a siege that has been imposed on the coastal enclave for 15 years.

Israeli occupation forces attack Palestinian woman's funeral in West Bank

02 July 2022; MEMO: Israeli occupation forces on Friday attacked the funeral of a Palestinian woman in the town of Beit Ummar, in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, local sources reported.

Mohammad Awad, a local Palestinian activist, told Wafa News Agency that the Israeli occupation forces attacked the coffin of the deceased Palestinian woman as well as the pallbearers.

The attack occurred as the funeral passed through the town's main entrance.

2 Palestinians run over then detained by Israel soldiers

30 June 2022; MEMO: Two Palestinians drivers were run over and detained yesterday by Israeli occupation officers who hit them with their vehicle near the town of Al-Khader to the south of occupied Bethlehem, reported Wafa news agency.

Local eyewitnesses said Israeli officers hit the Palestinians, who were riding on their motorcycle. The pair, from the Dheisheh Refugee Camp, suffered severe injuries.

Israel court postpones expulsion of Palestinian family from Silwan

30 June 2022; MEMO: The Israeli High Court yesterday delayed a decision to expel a Palestinian family from its home in Wadi Al-Hilwa of occupied Jerusalem's Silwan neighbourhood.

The court, according to Safa news agency, said it was awaiting a reply from the Custodian of Absentee Property on why he had declared the house as an absentee property without checking the heirs of the previous owner.

Palestine: Family members of Palestinian murdered by Israeli settler arrested by Shin Bet

27 June 2022; MEMO: Three family members of the 27-year-old Palestinian, who was killed at the hands of an Israeli settler in Salfit in the occupied West Bank, were arrested yesterday morning by Israel's Shin Bet intelligence agency.
